Bergmans European Autoworks

I had a very good experience here. They reviewed an estimate from another shop, looked my car over, and prioritized the repairs with me. I need to keep this car for a few more years, so this really helped, knowing what had to be done right now, and what I could do as funds became available. They beat the other estimates as well. While not cheep, I would call them an excellent value. They obviously knew what they were doing, and I have had no issues with the repairs they have done so far. This is the best experience I have ever had at a car repair place. I give them 5 stars.

I had been to the local dealer for an issue with my BMW burning oil and smoking. They quoted me over $900 to replace my cyclone valve. I had Bergman's European check it out. They agreed that this valve was bad, and gave me an quote for a little over $500!!!! They fixed the car, and I have not had any smoking since. To the poster who liked the dealer better, have you even been to Bergman's?? They had a VERY nice waiting room, hot Starbucks coffee, and loaner cars. I'm very pleased with their prices and quality. I don't know what they could have done any better.

I agree with one of the previous posters regarding Bergmanns. Their costs aren't substantially lower than a dealership. Just head out to your BMW dealer, sit in a nice lounge or get a free loaner, drink some espresso and feel confident about spending your money.

I have been bringing my family’s cars to Bergman’s European for 4 years now, and have watched them grow, and move twice. They have put a ton of effort into the new shop, and it shows. They work on my Mercedes, my wife’s BMW, and my kid’s Honda and Toyota. They are a little more expensive than a chain/franchise tire or muffler shop, but I have never found them to be more expensive than the dealer. They quote me what they REALLY think my repairs will cost, not a low-ball figure to get me in the door. Often they help me to prioritize so I can budget, and do things on several trips. I will probably keep my cars a bit longer, because I feel confident in their abilities to do preventative work. I don’t want my daughter breaking down at college! I just wanted to write something for them, since they have done such a good job over the years taking care of our cars. I see the same customers there when I come in; they have a regular following. This shop fixed my car after another shop did not. I brought my car to these guys, and initially thought they were wrong in what they found. I had my car fixed at another shop, but had the same problems a few days later. Went back to Bergman's, they did the work they originally quoted, and the car has been fine for a few weeks now. PROBLEM SOLVED! Thanks to Bergman's for putting up with me, I will not be such a jerk next time, I promise.

Very happy with this shop! They are the same as Bergman's International Autoworks. The address shown in some websites is wrong, they are at 112 EDWARDS, NOT 126. These guys fixed my Mercedes Benz overheating problem after another shop failed. 2 weeks now, the problem is gone. Good job! I will use them as my regular shop from now on. They have a little "Smart Car" with their logo on it, they say it should be available as a loaner soon. I give them a thumbs up!!

Great service and close to home. I waste to much time and money @$4.00 a gal to drive to the dealer in North Tampa. Excellent dealer alternative. I highly recommend them for imports

Have used these guys for several years, and on a BMW, Mercedes Benz, Honda and a Toyota. Have had a consistent positive experience. Twice they had to call me to hold my car for an extra day because they were a bit busy. I give them a good reccomendation, and will continue to use them.

I was looking for a new shop for my Mercedes Benz and my wife's BMW. These guys advertise that they specialise in both of these cars. I stopped by at lunch to check them out, and they looked pretty good. I got a tour of the place, I think by the owner. They have a very clean shop. Not alot of people working there, I counted 4, but there were alot of cars. I had them do an oil change, and they showed me a few minor things on my car to keep an eye on, and gave me an estimate for a brake job they said I would need in 6 months or so. Overall, I liked this shop, and will go back.
